Eligibility & Enrollment
IN N’ OUT Rewards is free. You must be at least 18 years old, a legal resident of the United States, and provide a valid mobile number and email address. One account per person and per mobile number. Accounts belong to individuals, not to businesses, households or fleets, and are not transferable. Employees of IN N’ OUT Market and JRD Companies may enroll but may not earn points on transactions they personally ring.
Enrolling means you accept these terms, our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. We record the version of these terms you agreed to and the date you agreed.
Earning Points
- Points are earned on eligible in-store and forecourt purchases when your account is identified at the point of sale — by mobile number, by member card in the app, or by scanning your member barcode.
- Points post from our point-of-sale system automatically, usually within minutes and always within 24 hours of the transaction closing.
- Earn rates by category are posted in the app and on the Rewards page. We may run bonus multipliers or limited-time offers; those offers state their own rules and end dates.
- Points have no cash value, are not property, are not a security or currency, and cannot be purchased, sold, bartered, transferred between accounts, willed, or redeemed for cash.
- Your point balance is maintained server-side and is authoritative. A number shown on a receipt, screen or printout that conflicts with our ledger is a display error, and the ledger controls.
What Does Not Earn Points
By law or by policy, the following are excluded from earning: tobacco and nicotine products, lottery tickets and pull-tabs, alcohol where sold, money orders, gift card purchases, postage and stamps, prepaid wireless and other prepaid cards, ATM fees and cash back, sales tax, state and federal fuel taxes, environmental and bag fees, third-party bill payments, and the value of any discount, coupon or voucher applied to the transaction. Points are earned on the net amount you actually pay for eligible items.
Redeeming Points
- Redeem through the app or by identifying your account at the register. Redemptions are applied at the time of the transaction and cannot be applied retroactively to a completed sale.
- Vouchers issued from points carry their own expiration date, shown on the voucher. An expired voucher cannot be reinstated and the points behind it are not returned.
- Vouchers may not be combined with certain offers where the offer says so, may not be redeemed for cash, and have no cash value including any residual amount.
- Rewards cannot be redeemed against excluded categories listed above.
- Any tax consequence of a reward is yours. We do not gross up rewards for tax.
Tiers
Tier status is calculated on eligible spend over a rolling qualification period disclosed in the app. Tiers are re-evaluated on a published schedule; falling below a threshold moves you down at the next evaluation, and you keep any benefit already issued. Tier benefits are not guaranteed for any period and may change with notice.
Expiration & Inactivity
Points expire 18 months after the date they were earned if not redeemed. Separately, if an account has no earning or redemption activity for 24 consecutive months, we may close it and forfeit the remaining balance. We will email the address on file at least 30 days before an inactivity closure, at which point any activity resets the clock.
Minnoco Balance Transfer
We offer a one-time courtesy transfer of a Minnoco Rewards / PatronPoints balance into IN N’ OUT Rewards. There is no automated connection between the two systems, so the transfer is manual: you self-report your Minnoco ID or phone number and balance, and a trained associate verifies the record in store before we credit anything. We may decline or adjust a transfer we cannot verify. The transfer is available once per person, converts at the rate posted at the time of transfer, and is not reversible once applied.
Returns & Refunds
If you return an item you earned points on, the points for that item are deducted from your balance automatically. If your balance has already been spent down below the amount to be deducted, your balance goes to zero and the shortfall is written off — we do not carry a negative balance. If a voucher was applied to a transaction that is later refunded, we refund the amount you actually paid, not the value of the voucher, and the voucher is not reissued.
Closing Your Account
Close your account any time in the app, by emailing [email protected], or through Your Privacy Choices. On closure, all unredeemed points and vouchers are forfeited immediately and are not restored if you re-enroll later. We retain the transaction and program records we are required to keep, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Fraud & Abuse
We may suspend or close an account, reverse points, and void vouchers if we reasonably determine there has been fraud, misrepresentation, abuse of the program, use of another person’s account, points earned on transactions that were later voided, systematic manipulation of promotions, or violation of these terms. Where the amount involved warrants it and the facts support it, we may pursue recovery. We will tell you why, and you may respond at [email protected].
Program Changes & Termination
We may change earn rates, redemption values, tier thresholds, expiration rules or any other program term, and we may end the program entirely. For any change that reduces the value of points you have already earned, or for termination of the program, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to the address on file and by notice in the app, and you will have that period to redeem your balance. Changes that only add or improve benefits may take effect immediately.
Legal
The program is void where prohibited. It is offered by IN N’ OUT Market, 743 Century Ave N, Maplewood, MN 55119, and is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, with exclusive venue in the state and federal courts serving Ramsey County, Minnesota. If any provision here is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms work together with our Terms of Use; if the two conflict on a rewards question, this page controls.
